black music week

my love for soul and r&b is constantly growing and when i say that i mean music that has been released before i was born. you might think i am one of these traditionalists afraid of change. seriously, i want to like beyoncés new record. i want to love contemporary r&b, but i just can’t. i have tried to listen to all that garbage and i probably will continue to do so. sometimes i tend to be a little masochistic.

now, after i failed to explain why exactly i dislike contemporary r&b, i would like to welcome you to my black music week. there is only one appropriate way to start such a week. file this classic under hair crimes.
